She may have only been engaged for a week, but Kylie Tubb is already checking out the options when it comes to her impending nuptials.
Miss Tubb was one of those taking in the options for weddings in Rotorua at the annual Hitched wedding show, held on Sunday.
She said while the engagement was only new and they didn't have any plans in place yet, her and fiance Sam Calkin hoped to get married in the Rotorua area in 2016.
Miss Tubb said it was helpful to check out the various options at the show so early on in the planning, as it gave her ideas of different venues and options for the big day.
It was also helpful to talk to some of the suppliers like photographers, who she'd researched online.
"We've only been engaged for a week so it's still new."
She took along her sister, who is likely to be a part of her big day.
"There were definitely quite a few venues of interest there."
Miss Tubb said the proposal wasn't completely unexpected.
"I knew he had the ring but I didn't know when [he was going to propose]."
Organiser of Hitched, Peter Duncan, could not be contacted for comment.
