Jordi Webber top bachelor

Rotorua heart-throb Jordi Webber has been crowned the 2013 CLEO Cruiser Bachelor of the Year.

The 18-year-old, a member of popular Kiwi boy band Titanium, was announced the winner at an exclusive party on Friday night after he received the most public votes.

Jordi said he was "quite stoked" to take the title, which he hopes will be a stepping stone towards his ultimate dream of acting in Hollywood. But he hasn't let the win go to his head.

"I'm pretty humbled about it," he said. "I had a lot of people backing me up."

He said his family had been his biggest supporters, voting "constantly" for him while at the same time keeping him grounded. He said he was also blown away by the support from fans, particularly those in his home town. "Thanks for backing me up 100 per cent - I'm very thankful for the support of people in Rotorua."

Jordi, who was the competition's "Mr July", said he had enjoyed being one of the 12 finalists.

"The boys were really cool, just normal guys. I thought I'd give it a go, do something different."

It's now back to the day job, for Jordi, with Titanium flying to Australia on Friday for a short tour before returning to NZ.
