Cheyenne Kennedy was left speechless after meeting New Zealand boy band Titanium backstage at Rotorua's GLO Festival on New Year's Eve.
The Ngongotaha 15-year-old was the winner of a competition run by The Daily Post to meet the teenage heart-throbs backstage before their headlining performance at Party in the Park.
When she entered the tent, Cheyenne and her friend Charlotte Cleverly, 15, were given a hug by each of the band members, including Rotorua local Jordi Webber.
Cheyenne said she had been left speechless after being greeted by the band.
"I was really nervous but they are really nice. I like their music, and I like Jordi's eyes. I'm excited to tell all my friends, I didn't really tell them when I won the competition because they would all have asked to come. I think they will be jealous when they hear about it."
A signed poster from the band would be hung on her bedroom wall. Cheyenne said she was thrilled when she heard she had won the competition.
"I've never been to one of their concerts, I couldn't go when they came here last. When I got the phone call to say I won, I was screaming around the house telling everyone."
Band member Jordi, who hails from Rotorua, said it was awesome to perform to a home crowd.
"It's always a really good feeling being back home and performing on stage where everyone I know can see."
