Rotorua Lakes High School's Junior A netball team ran a two-day netball skills programme at Lynmore Primary School recently.
This was a fundraising activity for the team to attend the Secondary School Kurungaituku Tournament in September.
The training camp was a big success and ran last week during the school holidays.
In the morning, the team worked in pairs to deliver 45-minute skill sessions such as turning in the air, one-on-one defence and getting free.
In the afternoon they took their team for a training session and then coached them through a game.
It was great to see the enthusiasm of the coaches during the game, encouraging their players on court and celebrating successes throughout the games.
The players involved were Erina McDonnell-Norling, Sarah Donovan, Atahia Thompson-Trent, Elise Bosley, Jessica Gordon, Cassidy Weymouth, Paimarire Thompson, Ngahuia Ruahine and Sapphire Moore.
They were fantastic with the Lynmore players and displayed great leadership skills throughout the two days.
