Great customer service is just a part of who she is, says Mad Butcher and KFC worker Taylor Anderson.
Miss Anderson, 19, was mentioned several times on the Rotorua Daily Post Facebook page for her warm customer service as part of the new That's Great Service section in today's newspaper.
Miss Anderson has been working two jobs since December last year, saving to go to Waikato University to study teaching in physical education.
"I just really enjoy interacting with different people and making them feel good. Often the customer can also make your day because they are so polite and friendly.
"It's such a good feeling to know that people have nice things to say about me and they appreciate my customer service. I didn't realise I made that much of an impact on their daily lives."
Miss Anderson said she has had some rude customers but always tried to remain professional.
"Having bad customers is unavoidable so I remind myself that they don't know what goes on behind the scenes and just get on with my work."
In the latest Mystery Shopper report for KFC, where staff are graded on their customer service by an unidentified shopper, Miss Anderson was the only worker to receive 100 per cent.
"It felt so good, I couldn't even believe it. I like working and think I have quite a strong work ethic so I guess that shows through my service."
Miss Anderson said working two jobs had taught her a number of life lessons.
"Just because it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life, doesn't mean I shouldn't do my best. I like to think I am showing people what good customer service is."
