A Dunedin woman in her 30s has died from injuries she received in a crash more than three weeks ago.
Sheree Jayne Procter, 35, was in a crash on Highcliff Road, Dunedin, on December 14.
Police confirmed, in a statement, the woman has since died.
"Police's thoughts are with Procter's family while the investigation into the cause of the incident continues."
It's understood Procter, who died on Wednesday, received serious injuries when the car she was driving rolled off the road.
She was alone in the car when it left the road and ploughed through a wire fence, before rolling metres down a slop.
''It is too early to say what caused her death, as it is subject to a coroner's report,'' a police spokeswoman told the Otago Daily Times.
Today a motorcyclist also died after a collision with a car on the road south of Cardrona in the South Island.
Police were called to the crash on Cardrona Valley Rd, about 3km out of the town, about 3pm. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Police have closed a section of the road while the serious crash unit investigates.
Diversions are in place at the intersections of Crown Range and State Highway 6, and Riverbank Rd and Cardrona Valley Rd.
