Traffic has cleared following a four-car crash on Auckland's northwestern motorway this evening.
A witness said a car spun out in torrential rain on the stretch of motorway between Bond St and the Newton Rd off-ramp.
Traffic was initially gridlocked as emergency services cleared the scene.
A northern police communications spokesman said the four cars had hit and become "nose to tail".

He said the cars had since been cleared, and traffic was once again flowing freely.
No one was injured in the crash, he said.
