A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a bus on Wellington's 'Golden Mile' earlier this morning.
Central police communications shift manager Marty Parker said the accident, involving a pedestrian and a bus, happened about 8.30am on Manners Street.
A Wellington Free Ambulance spokeswoman said the pedestrian was taken to Wellington Hospital with moderate injuries.
The accident caused little disruption to traffic and the road was re-opened almost straight away, Mr Parker said.
One person has died and several others have been injured as a result of accidents involving buses on the Golden Mile, which takes in central Wellington's main retail shopping area and includes Willis St and Lambton Quay.
These accidents have led Wellington City Council to introduce more safety measures.
