We came here because it seemed like a handy stop before taking in a movie in the Westfield complex.
Parking was no problem in the carpark around the back of Westfield, but can be hard to come by at times.
We walked in and immediately thought the cafe felt relaxed and there was a cosy fire blazing in the corner - unfortunately the table near it was taken as it was a chilly morning.
The most unusual thing on the menu was corn benedict - poached eggs on corn fritters with hollandaise sauce and rocket, with a choice of bacon, smoked salmon or champagne ham.
We ordered the corn benedict, with bacon ($22.50), which was an interesting twist on the traditional eggs bene and quite tasty; and blueberry pancakes with fresh fruit and mascarpone ($16) which were disappointing - more like something from the supermarket.
The service was very helpful.
The coffee was on the warm - rather than hot - side.
We recommend if you come here sit back and watch the world go by.
Overall we thought Caffe Massimo is well situated for that pre-or-post-shopping or movie coffee and cake - as long as the coffee is hot.
