It's hard not to be understanding when a bride says she's striving to achieve the perfect wedding day ... but the feelings of goodwill can quickly ebb away.
Anonymous posts uploaded to social media site Whisper reveals some of the more extravagant demands almost-marrieds put on their bridesmaids, reports the Daily Mail.
The secret notes shared on the Whisper thread include such eyebrow-raising demands as a pregnancy ban, tattoo removal and having a set of keys to a getaway car should the bride get cold feet.
Personal hygiene comes into play too, with the pre-wedding jitters getting the better of one bride, who accidentally wet herself - and then asked if she could borrow her bridesmaid's pants.
Another went a step further on the thread, entitled "20 bridesmaids who suffered the wrath of a bridezilla" and one had asked one of her bridal entourage to hold her dress while in the bathroom so she could put in a tampon.
One bridesmaid on the receiving end of a bride with green eyes posted about how she was almost ditched from the big day ... for looking more beautiful than the lady walking down the aisle.
It seems jealously can rear its head as a wedding day approaches too.
Elsewhere, a sister demanded that her sister tone down her flame-haired locks so she wouldn't upstage her in the all-important wedding photographs.
The sibling wrote: "Obviously I'm going to do it, it's her wedding, but I'm salty about it".
Family planning absolutely comes into play too, with lots of bridesmaids scribbling virtual notes saying they'd been asked to refrain from getting pregnant until the big day was over, for fear of a growing bump pulling the attention away from the bride - and ruining the carefully planned dress purchases.
The moral of the story? Think carefully before agreeing to be a key player in someone else's special day.
