In an attempt to hit out at her partner's ex girlfriend, a woman has posted a nausea-inducing note on social media.
The letter, which has been shared multiple times online, thanks the ex for "walking out of his life and hurting him."
"I will do all the things you failed to do for him... I will take care of the man you failed to appreciate. I will love the man you took for granted. I will do anything to keep him and make him stay," reads the cringeworthy post.
While the letter seems laughable, many women seem to have taken to the idea, and are re-posting the note alongside loved-up pics with their partner.
One of the selfies shows a man planting a kiss on his partner's cheek, while another woman posted a black and white pic of her cuddling up proudly to her beau.
On the other hand, some have taken a different view, blasting the letter as "drivel" that "makes women look feeble."
One user on social media site Mumsnet said of the letter, "is this not literally the worst Facebook post in the world?"
The commenter went on to say the note paints the man as innocent, while ignoring his part in the breakdown of a relationship.
"This actually makes me want to vomit," she wrote. "Mainly because all these women who are re-posting this are basically saying their OH was the sweet, hard done by innocent in the breakdown of any previous relationship he's ever had."
Other Mumsnet users agreed, calling the online craze embarrassing, feeble, and laughable.
"The silly, desperate cow. How embarrassing. My toes are curling!" wrote one user.
"I just threw up in my mouth...Is this woman for real??" wrote another.
But we think this comment sums it up best: "that is bucket loads of vomit-inducing drivel."
Lets hope this dire craze dies out soon, and the letter becomes buried in the black hole of the internet.
