Leading New Zealand jockey James McDonald has been cleared to return to riding today.

Earlier this week, McDonald returned a urine sample that contained the presence of a banned diuretic.

But a second sample has been found to be negative.

McDonald is now able to fulfil his race riding engagements in Hong Kong today.
