Rachel Grunwell

Rachel Grunwell is a fitness writer for the Herald on Sunday.

Biography

Rachel became the fitness challenge girl for the Herald on Sunday’s Living magazine in early 2012 when her youngest child was 9-months-old. Since then, she has tried and survived well over a hundred different challenges from flying trapeze, acrobatic yoga, a boxing class with Monty Betham, BMX riding with Olympian Sarah Walker, to conquering a marathon in 2013. She aims to share the lowdown on the health and fitness world and inspire readers to give things a go. She has been a writer for over 20-years working on several daily and weekend newspapers and various magazines. She’s from the Bay of Plenty, but calls herself an Aucklander these days. The best thing about her job - being able to scoff lots of chocolate because of all the calories she burns.
