Auckland train passengers can expect some delays and cancellations today following a problem with an overhead line.
A spokesman for Auckland Transport said Southern and Eastern line services were affected due to a fault near the Homai Railway Station, in Wiri.
The agency is now arranging alternative transport for passengers and is updating passengers via its social media pages.
Videographer Sam Sword was at the station near Homai - on Gloucester Rd, Manukau - and said he could see a "snapped cable" on the tracks.
Passengers were being transferred into buses, he said.
AT spokesman Mark Hannan said he could not yet confirm what the issue was, but that KiwiRail - which oversees the lines - would be working to fix it as soon as possible.
A spokesman for KiwiRail said they were looking into the problem now and would send out a statement shortly.
