Church credited Bayleys' success in part to the creation of specialist teams in areas such as business sales, hotels, tourism and leisure, and the CBD fringe, along with a strong focus on leasing within the business.
He said the agency had also "driven forward" with industry innovations, allowing the continual growth of all aspects of the business.
"Our marketing teams across all property sectors have successfully integrated traditional print media channels with new-age opportunities in the digital space to ensure the widest possible promotion of listings in New Zealand and offshore. We will continue to innovate in this area to add value for our customers," Church says.
Hain's success in taking out the top commercial and industrial salesperson for the second year in a row, was the result of a number of significant sales and leasing transactions in the 12-month period including negotiating the sale of all four buildings in Spark's head office complex in Victoria Street for close to $250 million. In conjunction with Simon Aldridge of Bayleys North Shore Commercial, Hain also sold a 15,000 sq m office and retail building at 1-7 The Strand in Takapuna which sold for $70 million.
