The Block NZ stars Ben and Quinn Alexandre have welcomed a new addition. The couple have revealed via Facebook that Quinn gave birth to a baby in late February.
They posted a picture of their recent arrival, with their wedding rings on its big toe, with the message: "For the past three weeks we have been having the time of our lives hangin out with this little monkey. We both feel very blessed that everything went well. Much love Q+B."
The pair added they couldn't "say too much more".
Quinn yesterday would not comment to the Herald on Sunday, saying she and Ben had signed an exclusive deal with a magazine.
The 26-year-old fell pregnant shortly before filming began on 2014's The Block NZ and the couple announced they were expecting a child early into the season.
Wolf or Wolfgang had been jokingly suggested as names during filming, as had Corban, after fellow contestant Corban Walls.
Ben, 30, said that if he had to name his child after a fellow contestant and the baby was a boy, the choice would have to be Corban.
"If all Corbans are as smart as Corban, then it would be a good name," he told the Herald on Sunday in October.
The Christchurch couple, who were married in 2012, achieved the lowest sale price in the show's live auction finale, $1.3 million, earning them just $10,000 profit. Winners Alex and Corban Walls gave $30,000 to the Alexandres after their home sold for more than $1.5m which, combined with their prize money meant a $307,000 profit.
