Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was stoked to have two school choirs serenade her with a personalised song.
"Jacinda Ardern, Clarke Gayford, first man," choirs from Westlake Girls and Westlake Boys high schools in Auckland sung as the PM looked on during a visit to an awards ceremony on Thursday.
The song was harmonised to the tune of Also Sprach Zarathustra, by Richard Strauss, which featured on Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey film.
Ardern was clearly chuffed as the choirs sang behind her, and later posted the footage to Facebook.
"I was sitting in the middle of an awards ceremony yesterday when I could have sworn I heard my name, so I followed the choir out and they gave me a repeat performance in the car park," Ardern wrote.
"So, so good. Thank you so much again!!"
