Inshore waters from Matakana Island to Mayor Island to Motiti Island and then east to Torere River mouth.
A couple of weak fronts over the North Island and a ridge over the lower South Island all move slowly northwards today. Another front moves onto the South Island on Friday, then weakens and stalls on Saturday as the ridge persists over central and northern New Zealand through the weekend. A third front moves onto the South Island on Sunday.

Thursday: Southwest 20 knots but 15 knots east of Maketu, easing to 15 knots but 10 knots in the east early morning.Becoming southeast 15 knots everywhere late morning, then rising to 20 knots for a time in the afternoon. Sea becoming moderate for a time in the afternoon. Fair visibility in a few morning showers,becoming fine this afternoon.
Outlook until midnight Sunday: Friday: Southeast 10 knots, becoming northerly 15 knots in the afternoon. Mainly fine, chance late shower. Saturday: Becoming variable 5 knots in the morning, and northeast 10 knots evening. Fine. Sunday: Northeast 10 knots. Fine spells, a few light showers.
