Situation:

A disturbed westerly flow persists over New Zealand during the forecast period. An active front within this flow crosses the country today, and another front moves over the lower South Island late Tuesday.

Warnings:

GALE warning for PORTLAND

Forecast:

Monday: Northwest 15 knots, turning easterly 10 knots this afternoon and then westerly 10 knots this evening. Sea slight. Fair visibility in periods of afternoon rain.

Outlook:

Outlook until midnight Thursday: Tuesday: Changing southwest 15 knots in the morning, then becoming northwest 10 knots in the evening. A few showers. Wednesday: Westerly 10 knots, dying out late. Mainly fine, chance shower. Thursday: Northwest 15 knots, dying out late. A few showers developing.

Swell:
