Olivia Carville is an investigative reporter with the NZ Herald.


Olivia Carville is a reporter on the investigations team at the New Zealand Herald. She specializes in multi-media digital storytelling and is passionate about social justice. Olivia has won three national journalism awards in New Zealand and gained international reporting experience working on the investigations unit at the Toronto Star, the biggest daily newspaper in Canada. Olivia was born and bred in Christchurch and worked at the Press newspaper for three years after graduating from Auckland University of Technology with a Postgraduate Diploma of Journalism in 2010. She was one of Fairfax's lead reporters during Christchurch's deadly earthquake and went on to write the official memoriam tribute to the 185 victims.
