Whanganui Floods: One year on

On Saturday, June 20, 2015, one month's rain fell on Whanganui in 24 hours. That night and early Sunday morning the surging Whanganui River brought the district's worst flooding on record, resulting in a state of emergency, huge distress and expense, and a long road to recovery.
