More aluminium industry workers could receive accident compensation for breathing difficulties as a result of a High Court decision this week.
NZ Aluminium Smelters, which runs the Tiwai Pt smelter near Invercargill, wanted to overturn a District Court decision that former smelter worker Marie Sutton had a work-related injury.
But Justice Ron Young said the ruling was reasonably based on medical evidence.
