A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in front of a class at a Dunedin school today.
The victim was in a stable condition tonight and waiting for surgery at Dunedin Hospital. Emergency services had earlier described his lower abdominal injuries as serious but not life-threatening.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with assault with a weapon. He will appear in youth court tomorrow, police said.
