Act MP Donna Awatere Huata has been cleared by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) of any wrongdoing over expense claims.
The investigation centred on expense claims for accommodation in Auckland while on parliamentary business prior to the last election, and whether they should be claimed on a daily or weekly basis.
SFO director David Bradshaw said there was no basis for bringing a criminal prosecution.
Mrs Awatere Huata said she was pleased she had been cleared, and that she had followed the provisions set out in the Members Handbook.
