Wellington police smashed their way into a car to arrest at least one person wearing a Mongrel Mob vest on a busy Porirua road.
The action was all caught on video by a member of the public and posted on the Wellington Live Facebook page this morning.
The video shows two patrol cars blocking a silver Subaru station wagon in the middle of the road.
An officer then repeatedly bangs on the driver's door window of a car until it smashes.
He can then be seen running around to the passenger's side of the car, out of view. However, it appears they are struggling with someone on the ground.
A person, wearing a Mongrel Mob vest, is then led from the area and placed under arrest.
A second person, wearing a black jersey, is also briefly seen being led away from the car in handcuffs.
More and more officers and patrol cars turn up, parking on the side of the road, as members of the public slow down to drive through the scene.
Police said the incident followed a driver failing to stop for police after leaving a house during the execution of a police search warrant in Porirua earlier this morning.
Once the vehicle was finally stopped, the driver was arrested.
The driver, aged 16, faces driving and other charges and will appear before the youth court at a later date, while two other people arrested at the scene were released without charge.
No one was hurt during the process, police said.
