A toddler found wandering the streets was reunited with his family after police posted his photo on Facebook and someone replied, "that's my son".
The two-year-old boy was found in Lower Hutt around 7am on Saturday but police couldn't find his parents after door-knocking nearby properties, Newshub reported.
They put a photo on the Wellington District Police Facebook page. "Extensive door knocks have failed to locate where he has come from...he has cool space PJs on…do you recognise this chap?"
Just minutes later a man commented: "that's my son", Newshub reported. Police eventually learnt the child and his father were at a hotel when the toddler managed to work a door handle and went to check out the street.
