Police are looking for Sean Nicholas who is wanted for arrest.
Nicholas has a physical disability and uses a wheelchair. Police want to find him urgently as he poses a significant risk to himself.
Nicholas was last seen on Wednesday March 21 about 8pm when he was dropped off in New Lynn. It is believed Nicholas was wearing black trousers and a brown jumper.
Nicholas is thought to be using public transport and he may be staying in temporary accommodation or sleeping rough in the New Lynn area.
Nicholas previously made headlines for threatening to detonate an explosive within the Central Park Building 10 on Great South Rd, Ellerslie, on June 19 last year.
Nicholas told people in the building that the bomb was on a timer and "could not be stopped".
A bomb expert later found it would not have detonated, but had it been exposed to a "significant heat source" it had "potential to omit toxic fumes", which could have been very harmful.
Nicholas was sentenced in December to 14 months in prison for intending to cause significant disruptions to the civilian population of New Zealand and for breaching his prison release conditions.
Nicholas also held up a Westpac bank for five hours in 2013 and threatened to blow up the NZ Stock Exchange in 2015.
Any sightings of Nicholas can be reported on 111, or to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
