Three people have been arrested in relation to an aggravated robbery of a hotel in Dunedin this week.
A group of people entered the Law Courts Hotel at about midnight on Thursday, threatened an employee with a knife and stole cash.
A 28-year-old man and 25-year-old woman have been charged with aggravated robbery and are due to appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
A 47-year-old woman has also been charged with aggravated robbery and is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow.
The arrests followed search warrants carried out in Dunedin and Christchurch today.
Detective Sergeant Dave Nelson said a cross district team effort led to the early arrests.
"It was a great team effort both here in Dunedin and with our colleagues in Christchurch that enabled the alleged offenders to be arrested and charged in such a short period of time."
Nelson said as the investigation was ongoing further charges could be laid.
