The store owner is turning away customers.
The store neighbours the Idlewild Laundromat, Nice Food Takeaway and Village Bakehouse.
The Idlewild Superette store owner, who wished to remain unnamed, said she was halfway towards the back of the store when she heard a noise and ran to the toilet area.
"I called the police immediately," she said.
"There was no one else around outside to know what was happening."
She said two men were carrying a hammer and pulled her father-in-law frombehind the counter, into a corner of the shop.
They then stole cigarettes and cash from the till, before running away.
The store owner said her father-in-law was "doing alright" after the robbery.
"He is a strong man," she said.
The store owner was also robbedin March.
"It was about 1.45pm and the school behind us had parent interviews so we had two kids in the shop," she said.
"One person came into the store and was followed by another who closed the door and pushed me aside.
"He had a gun in his hand and pointed it at my face.
"The other fella pulled out the tills and they took off. They fired the gun at my husband but it missed luckily."
She said having two armed robberies at the store was "no good".
"I'm waiting for the National government to come in so I can make some moves like installing panic alarms and other things," she said.
