A large sinkhole has formed in a South Auckland road after rainfall.
Kingseat Rd will be closed between Glenbrook Rd and Pearson Rd for the foreseeable future as engineers assess the hole, which is about 2m x 2m in size, a police spokesman said.
Motorists are asked to use the diversion in place via Pearson Rd.
Kingseat Rd is expected to be cloed for three to four days, Auckland Transport said.
