A man involved in an aggravated robbery at a service station in Waihi last night threatened to shoot the attendant.
Police responded to the report of an aggravated robbery around 9.30pm at a service station on Seddon St, a police spokeswoman said.
"A man, who was wearing a yellow jacket and had his face covered, threatened to shoot the attendant, but a weapon was never presented."
She said the man demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.
