A suspicious fire that blazed in half a house has been put out in Auckland this morning.
The Fire Service sent three engines to the house in Beach Haven shortly before 11am, Fire Northern communications shift manager Megan Ruru said.
"It was a relatively small fire. Half the house was well involved in fire. They have extinguished the fire using two hoses."
She said the police have been called because the service was suspicious about the fire. No one was injured.
