Two people have been badly hurt in separate vehicle incidents this evening.
A Northern Ambulance Communications' spokeswoman said a person had been critically injured after a car went off a bank in Hamilton just after 9.20pm.
And north of Whangamata, on the Coromandel Peninsula, a 16-year-old boy has been seriously injured after rolling a four-wheel quad motorbike.
Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter base manager and pilot Liam Brettkelly said the Auckland boy suffered serious chest and abdominal injuries and was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.
The flight was carried out using night vision equipment, Brettkelly said.
Meanwhile, emergency services have also been called to Gloucester Rd, in the South Auckland suburb of Manurewa, after a two car crash about 11pm.
An ambulance spokeswoman said one person with moderate injuries had been taken by ambulance to Middlemore Hospital.
