A 91-year-old woman riding a mobility scooter was hit by a vehicle in West Auckland this morning.
Police said the collision happened on Te Atatu Rd about 9.30am.
The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
A police spokeswoman said the road was closed and the serious crash unit was investigating.

A witness said the crash happened at the peninsula shops outside the Countdown supermarket and local library.
The road had since reopened and traffic was flowing again.
A 91-year-old man riding a mobility scooter was struck by a car in Otaki on Tuesday afternoon.
He died later that day in Palmerston North Hospital.
