Four people were injured in a nose-to-tail crash between two cars in Dunedin yesterday.
A parked third vehicle was also damaged in the 3.15pm crash in Mailer St.
A child was among the injured, St John said.
Two people received moderate injuries and two others minor injuries, and were taken to Dunedin Hospital.
''Three cars were involved,'' a police spokeswoman said. ''One car has hit the back of the other car and the second car has hit a parked car.''
Two tow trucks removed the vehicles from the street.
A police spokeswoman said inquiries were continuing into what caused the crash.
