A 94-year-old man who was reported as missing last night has now been located.
Police were notified at 7.39am this morning that his vehicle had been discovered down a bank in Fordell, Whanganui.
The man was been taken to Whanganui Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Whanganui Police are currently in contact with his family and Police staff in Taupo who are dealing with this matter.
Whanganui Fire station officer Bryan Coskerie said the car had come to a stop about 10m down the bank and 20m off the road.
It appeared it was the only vehicle involved and the man only suffered minor injuries, he said.
"He was sitting there, perched up, not very happy.
"The gentlemen had gone around a bit of a bend and gone through a fence and down a bank.
"It didn't appear to roll. It wasn't the easiest to see from the road."
