It's official - the America's Cup is winging its way to Auckland.
Aidan Sweeney, a Scotsman, is headed to New Zealand to visit his brother, and happened to end up on Team NZ's flight from Dubai.
He sent his dad Hugh this photo of sailor Blair Tuke holding the cup aloft in the cabin of the aircraft.
It's been a long journey home for team and trophy.
They flew from Bermuda to New York and from there to Dubai, where they stopped in at the Cup's sponsor Emirates, before boarding their flight for Auckland.
The Cup has been travelling in a Louis Vuitton case strapped into two seats, but it looks like the team unpacked the silverware to allow those in the cabin to have a look.
The team's flight EK448 was due at Auckland International Airport today at 9.50am.
But it appears to have been delayed, with the Emirates flight tracker now saying they won't touch down until 11.09am. The Auckland Airport arrivals board still says the flight is on time.
However it seems keen fans are already heading to the airport to greet the team, creating major traffic problems on the motorway.
For the rest of us there will be a chance to spot the Cup at the official parade tomorrow.
The Auld Mug and Team NZ will take a route through Auckland's CBD from 12.30pm before heading out on the water for a sail-past around the Viaduct, Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf.
