Three people have been arrested after a Tauranga service station was robbed and a worker assaulted today.
Police arrested a female and two males following the raid at Tauriko's Caltex service station on SH29 at 6.45am.
The robbers allegedly drove a stolen vehicle on to the forecourt of the Caltex and demanded cash and cigarettes, a police spokesperson said.
A service station attended suffered moderate injuries when allegedly assaulted. They received medical attention at Tauranga Hospital and then discharged.
Police were speaking to the people arrested and anticipated charges would be laid later today.
The service station has re-opened.
