Police are investigating an armed robbery at Eden Park overnight, just hours after the British Lions were defeated by the All Blacks.
Two stadium staff members in a security van were threatened by two armed men around 12.40am today.
Neither victim was hurt, but an unknown amount of cash was taken.
Due to the speed of the assault, the victims were unable to give detailed descriptions of the robbers.
"The staff members tell me they just came out of nowhere," said Acting Detective Sergeant Sam Jennings.
The robbers fled in a stolen white Audi station wagon down Reimers Ave, dumping the car on Royal Tce and escaping in another vehicle.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
