A 60-year-old man has died after crashing into a paddock in Himatangi Beach.
The vehicle was only discovered just after 8am this morning but police believe the crash happened overnight.
Road Policing manager Inspector Brett Calkin said investigations were ongoing but speed was believed to be a factor.
Early indications also suggest the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
