Police release CCTV footage of armed robbery

Police have released footage of two men wanted after an armed robbery of a Tauranga dairy.

The two men went into Carlisle Dairy in Greerton about 2pm on Sunday armed with a hammer and threatened the shop assistant.

The men forced the shop assistant to give them cash and cigarettes.

One man was wearing a light grey Starter brand hooded top, black pants and what appears to be purple underwear.

The second man was wearing a dark hooded top and black pants and was carrying a black and red backpack.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Constable Tim Bonner at Tauranga Police 07 577 4300, or information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
