A Palmerston North woman collapsed and died while walking her dog beside a Motueka River.
Although Nelson police have confirmed Sheree Diane Archer's death is not suspicious, they are asking for sightings of Archer and her mid-sized, tan and white dog found with her body on Sunday, March 19.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Johnston said the 43-year-old was found by a member of the public at the edge of the Motueka River, upstream of the main road bridge at Riwaka.
Police were called about 5.30pm.
A scene examination has been completed and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police are making inquiries on behalf of the coroner.
Johnston said police believe Archer was from Palmerston North and had only been in the Motueka area for a couple of days having travelled down on Friday, March 17.
The dog was found with Archer and it is thought she walking the dog when she died.
The area she was found is close to a public reserve on the western side of the river.
