A wet-weather crash closed Napier-Taupo road earlier this morning.
A police spokeswoman said State Highway 5 was closed after a truck "jack-knifed" and blocked the road at Tarawera, just after 6am.
There were no injuries to the truck's occupants.
She said the road was closed for about three hours as the truck was removed, reopening just about 10.30 this morning.
The cause of the incident was unknown at this stage. Police were not aware if the heavy rain overnight and this morning had contributed.
The closure of SH5 and delays due to this rain have caused disruption for some competitors heading to this year's Horse of the Year Show in Hastings.
