Firefighters battle blaze in Christchurch

Fire crews are working to contain a large fire at a honey factory south of Christchurch.

The blaze broke out out at the workshop at Airborne Honey Farm in Leeston about 10.15 this evening.

Four engines, two tankers and command unit are at the scene.

A Fire Service spokesman says crews are trying to contain the fire and protect surrounding buildings.

No one has been injured.
