A house and car have been torched in a suspicious blaze in West Auckland overnight.

The fire broke out in the Reverie Pl property at 12.35am.

Fire Service northern communications manager Megan Ruru said everyone inside at the time managed to escape but the blaze was being treated as suspicious.

She said four crews attended the Massey blaze with one engine is still at the scene in case of flare-ups.

The fire will be investigated, she said.
