Two men are injured after a car they were travelling in crashed into a wall in Henderson.

The crash happened just before 12pm today on the corner of Swanson and Metcalfe Rds.

A police media spokeswoman said police were at the scene and the road was being cleared. The car was being towed away.

A St John northern communications duty manager said medics were still at the scene treating one patient with serious injuries and another with moderate injuries.

One of the men was "lightly trapped" in the vehicle and fire service had to cut him out, a northern fire communications spokesman said.
