Sir David Attenborough's first live stage show in New Zealand

Sir David Attenborough is set to grace our shores with a live stage show about his career and the natural world.

This will be the first time the renowned naturalist and documentary maker has appeared live in New Zealand.

He had visited the country in the past, including filming at the Waitomo Caves in 2005.

Attenborough was selected as Kiwis' most-admired man in a 2015 YouGov Survey, beating the likes of rugby hero Richie McCaw.

His A Quest for Life show will be at Auckland's Civic Theatre on February 2, 2017.

The show will cover his career dedicated to the natural world, the changes he has witnessed since filming Zoo Quest in the 1950's and the environmental challenges currently facing the world.

Tickets go on sale on November 21.
