Traffic is now flowing again after a section of State Highway 2 was blocked following a crash involving a large truck this morning.
Emergency services are at the scene of the collison at the intersection of SH2 and Snodgrass Rd, near Tauranga. The crash is believed to have happened about 7.55am.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing Sergeant Wayne Hunter said no one was seriously hurt.
''It is a truck and a ute, which has flipped, blocking lanes,'' Hunter said.
''It's an articulated truck so that is going to take some time [to clear].''
Traffic was at a stand-still for about an hour but Mr Hunter said the lanes had now been cleared and motorists could expect to begin moving again.
''Traffic was backed right back but it should be starting to flow within the next half hour.''
