Police are looking for an Auckland teenager who has been missing for 10 days.

Taila Benfell, 14, hasn't been seen since Tuesday last week, in Green Bay, Waitakere.

Waitemata Detective Sergeant Kelly Farrant said police had serious concerns after extensive inquiries to find her had been unsuccessful.

Police believe she may be in the Waitakere or Auckland areas, but she may also be in Wellington.

Taila is described as a Caucasian of medium build with recently dyed blonde hair. She is about 1.68m tall.

Taila's family and police are asking anyone with information to contact them on (09) 837 9511. Or people can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Also missing is Canterbury man Christopher Turnbull, 55, who has been missing for more than a week.

Christchurch Police said Turnbull left his house near Greta Valley around 7am on Thursday last week and has not been seen since.

He is Pakeha, medium build and 178cm tall.

Turnbull was driving a white Mitsubishi Triton double cab utility, with the registration number EAE987.

Any information which may help Police locate him should be reported to Christchurch Police on 03 3637400.
