A car has crashed into a water pipe in West Auckland, flooding the road and a nearby building and bringing traffic to a halt.

The car crashed into the pipe on Railside Ave in Henderson just after 2pm today.

An employee at nearby Toy World said there was a "huge water leakage spraying and leaking" all over the road.
